Help! My OC is in Japanese or something!: Go to the menu at the top marked H, and select the bottom option, marked E. This will switch OC to English mode. :)
How to Network in OC 1.1: Open OC and click on the network menu. Click on 'Show Network Window' near the bottom of the list. The network window will open.
If you are the Host: Set your network preferences. This includes canvas size, number of layers for each person involved, and amount of members that are allowed in (maximum of 4). Just leave the port as is. Click over to the server tab. Set the username you want to have for the session, set your password if you are going to have one (optional), and click stand by.
OC will now display the work surface and the chat window. In the chat window, it should mark you as the host with an @ next to your name. It will also tell you your IP address. Give this address to the people that will be connecting to you (as well as the password if you have set one), and wait.
If you are the Client: Go to the Client tab. Enter the username you would like to go by in the session. Fill in the password if the Host has set one. Put the host's IP address in to the 'Connect IP' box, and click the button.
